P.s: im aware it’s not Tuesday but Tuesday ended up being Christmas Day
Hey guys! Long time no see, I’m genuinely sorry! I keep planning to get back into blogging and then quite honestly, i can’t be bothered. I feel like i sort of have some excuses though? Sort of being very key there. So the last time i properly blogged was summer 2017. It’s now nearly 2019. Oops. There were a couple of posts in October 2017 and June 2018 but nothing that I really kept up with. So I’m sort of just going to give you a little update really – I love reading these sort of posts and since I haven’t spoke to you at all in like six months. It’s probably a good idea.
So when I stopped posting consistently back in Oct 2017, I had just started my GCSE year. Honestly, it took up a lot of time and energy so I didn’t have much time to write. Looking back on my GCSE experience I think it was mostly positive. There were a few bumps in the road but overall I look back on it with fond memories.
In June I then sat my exams, coming out of high school in August with 2 A**’s (9’s), 8 A*’s, 2 A’s and a Distinction*. After all the stress, it was a very emotional day but indeed very happy. Also In summer, i completed the NCS programme, which was probably the best thing I’ve done in my entire life. It involves 1 week staying at a residential, 1 week at a university, and 2 weeks doing a community project. I did my first ever sleep out for the homeless with NCS and it taught me skills I would never have otherwise. I’m hoping to do a whole post on NCS and the help it does for young individuals so I’ll try not to go into it too much now.
In September, I enrolled to my sixth form. Sixth form is the most stressful but enjoyable experience ever. Even though you already know the people, it shapes you into a completely different person to who you were when you started it. It took me a few weeks to really adapt to the change, I didn’t feel comfortable at first, one of the subjects was really getting me down and I felt very very lost- everyone else seemed to be really enjoying it so I felt stuck. However, after a few changes and I’ve had chance to settle in, sixth form is probably the best choice I could have made.
Throughout this, I’ve had a lot of mental challenges and just a lot of me time. 2018 has helped me find who I really am (how cliché I know) and it was nice to just go with the flow for most of the year. However, it’s officially Boxing Day, I’ve stuffed myself with chocolate, and I’m very excited to get back into it.
I spent some time thinking about what theme I wanted to give my blog. I don’t really do beauty anymore and I’m very into study and lifestyle. However, I would love to do hauls, and baking and stuff like that still, but sometimes I may want to write about revision, or conspiracy theories or even short stories, I want to let this blog be a little more free than before and really just write what I want to write. I’d love it if you followed me with it, even if only for the posts you would like to read. Sorry this was a short post but I just wanted to declare I was back. Now I’m going to spend my Boxing Day eating chocolate, watching films and reading blogs!
Merry Christmas!
Love,

Welcome back. There’s nothing wrong with taking a break from blogging. Things happen, it’s called life. It’s your blog, do you boo. If you want to write about your hauls at the supermarket, or travel, or how it feels to be back blogging after so long, do that also. It’s your blog and no one should have anything to say about it family, friends or otherwise. Write for yourself.

Love your writing style. Can’t wait to see what direction you go in with this blog. I feel like I was stuck with the same problem of figuring out how to categorize my own blog, but in the end, I decided I can write about whatever I want!

Thank you so much! I feel there is so much pressure to have one particular thing you write about but it shouldn’t be about that at all! Xx

Your exam results are fabulous well done! Sixth form is hard work but I’m glad you’re enjoying it. Your blog is your space to write whatever you want so you do whatever you want, don’t worry about what your readers think, I’m sure they’ll stick with you and you’ll probably find new readers who enjoy the different content you’ll be putting out, I can’t wait to read it!
